The Tutwiler Hotel's Accommodations
Historic hotels are really special. It is wonderful to be surrounded by nearly one hundred years of charm and history. But it is very important that the features and amenities be new and modern, especially in the guest room. With that in mind, Team Tutwiler set about the task of carefully planning our recent $9.2 million preservation to make sure that each and every guest receives a new experience while enhancing the historic past of the hotel.The Tutwiler does not have cookie cutter rooms. Each room has its own unique layout. But each room comes with windows. Real, big, wood windows that offer a spectacular view on the cityscape below.
You will notice the totally new furnishings and finishes, chosen with an eye to a bright, airy look. The beautifully detailed furniture is solid and sturdy. Brand new 32 inch LCD flat panel televisions and DVD players are in every room (two in suites.) You’ll find free HBO for current movies and top rated series. Next to the DVD player, music or podcast aficionados will find an MP3 speaker dock to enjoy their music player.
But your eyes are drawn to the bed. That tall, fluffy thing that looks like a white cloud piled with high pillows. That is the luxurious Hampton Inn and Suites Cloud Nine bedding, which ensures that your bed is clean and comfortable to provide an amazing night's rest. The luxurious mattress topper, soft duvet, high thread count sheets and assortment of soft and firm pillows will make you think are sleeping on a cloud. In addition, everything that touches you has been laundered before every guest stay. Not many hotels can say that.
All rooms feature all-new furniture, high thread count linen, pillow selection and luxurious duvet. While you're enjoying our comfortable Cloud Nine bedding, you may want to watch HBO on your room's 32" LCD television. If you brought along DVDs, you're ready with our in-room DVD players. If not, we have a supply at our front desk.
